The Galleria SACCHETTI is delighted to be the first to show works by the Cologne artist Peer Boehm in Switzerland. His paintings and drawings revolve around the subject of the fragmentary perception of reality or the memory of what has been seen and experienced. The artist uses photographic templates taken from the Internet or albums bought at flea markets. Boehm reduces the photographs on the computer to the extent that the motif is formed by light-dark contrasts. He translates this change, using acrylic, watercolor, pen or ink, but also coffee or rust, onto canvas and paper, whereby original maps and nautical charts or accounting documents serve as image carriers.
