Annelies Štrba I Opening 21 November 2020

October 22nd, 2020

NEW PROJECT: 1st FLOOR Galleria SACCHETTI – with an exhibition with works by Annelies Štrba

The awarding of the Willy Reber Art Prize to Annelies Štrba at the beginning of October 2020 was the occasion for the Galleria SACCHETTI to realize an exhibition, which gives an insight into her extensive and diverse oeuvre by means of selected works from the years 1974 to 2020. On display are the large-format black-and-white photo canvases from the early days, color photographs on photographic paper behind glass, two video works, including the key work Shades of Time 2.0, as well as the intense color pigment prints on canvas from the Nyima, Madonna and Momoka series. The latter unfold a painterly effect thanks to their digital processing.

If (due to the current situation) you prefer a guided tour of the exhibition, which extends over seven rooms, for a maximum of 10 people, we kindly ask you to inform us by e-mail info@galleriaberno.ch by Monday 16 November. The guided tours will take place in the presence of the artist on November 21 from 1pm to 4pm and will last approximately one hour each.

OPENING: 21 November, from 4am to 6pm – with the presence of the artist. At 4.30 pm the writer Ilma Rakusa will give an introduction to the work of Annelies Štrba and read from the book Madonna
