Maxim Wakultschik I Opening 20 March

February 17th, 2021

EXHIBITION

SACCHETTI CONTEMPORARY is pleased to present a solo exhibition of works by Maxim Wakultschik, an artist based in Düsseldorf. He currently focuses on a technique that breaks with the classical concept of the image: an expansion beyond the two-dimensional into the object-like can be discerned. The artist creates aesthetic female faces. His approach is comparable to digital raster graphics, with the small but subtle difference that every pixel of a computer simulation is replaced, so to speak, by a precisely inserted toothpick colored by hand. Vakultschik explores the interaction of color and light, interstice and surface structure, whereby his works irritate our optical perception.

OPENING: 20 March, from 10am to 4pm
DURATION: from 20 March until 1 May

Christian Verginer I Opening 20 March 2021

February 17th, 2021

EXHIBITION

SACCHETTI CONTEMPORARY is pleased to present sculptures by the South Tyrolean Christian Verginer for the second time in a solo exhibition. His artistic work is committed to figuration and thematically dedicated to the sometimes ambivalent relationship between man and nature. His sculptures, executed with astonishing precision, are representations of children and young people. The sculptor questions – occasionally provocatively and ironically – human actions and their consequences for our habitat and future generations.

OPENING: 20 March, from 10am to 4pm
DURATION: from 20 March until 1 May
